Josiah received his PhD in Organic Chemistry from Simon Fraser University in 2023. His PhD thesis, “Development of New Fluorination Strategies and Reagents,” introduced new synthetic methodologies for small‑molecule fluorination, especially desulfurative fluorination for applications in PET imaging and target‑oriented synthesis. Josiah has over 285,000 subscribers on YouTube and has amassed more than 25 million views across 240+ videos. His passion project is a series called “Important Papers in Organic Synthesis,” sponsored by major companies such as Reaxys, a subsidiary of Elsevier.
