Why NewChem™ exists
Chemists deserve better than a pile of disconnected compromises.
NewChem™ started from a familiar frustration: molecular records in one place, calculations somewhere else, instrument data in proprietary software, and useful context disappearing between them.
The answer was not another account or another cloud layer. It was a local workspace built around the way chemistry actually branches from one structure into many decisions.
That principle still governs the project: useful before impressive, private by default, and clear enough that the chemist remains in control.

Josiah received his PhD in Organic Chemistry from Simon Fraser University in 2023. His work sits where chemical judgment meets software, scientific data, and the people who have to use both.
Through That Chemist, he has built one of chemistry's largest independent public audiences by making advanced chemistry legible without sanding off what makes it difficult. NewChem™ brings the same instinct to tools and consulting: respect the audience, show the evidence, and make the hard part usable.
He leads NewChem™'s product work and consulting engagements directly.
